Requirements
An AWS account (free tier or sandbox) for hands-on labs. All labs use the smallest instance sizes and include cost controls and teardown instructions. You'll use Terraform to build and destroy lab environments - no prior Terraform expertise required; the course provides ready-to-run configurations. Basic familiarity with the AWS console and command line is helpful but not required; the course teaches real-world AWS CLI usage from scratch. No programming experience needed - this is operations, not development.

This course teaches what Day 2 actually is: the work that happens AFTER you build something. Real troubleshooting. Real incidents. The operating rhythm of daily standups, weekly patching, monthly cost reviews, and quarterly DR drills that structure the job.
Two layers, taught together
THE HUMAN LAYER - How you actually log in at work (IAM Identity Center + SSO with scoped roles). Where you sit in the org. What a day, week, month, and half-year look like on a cloud operations team. This is the differentiator - everyone teaches services; almost nobody teaches the rhythm of the job.
THE TECHNICAL LAYER - 15 hands-on troubleshooting labs, each framed as a ticket for NorthBank, a fictional bank migrating to AWS. From "the site is down (503)" to "the bill jumped 40%" to "the app can't reach the database." You'll diagnose, fix, verify, and write the post-incident review.
You'll learn the triage spine that works for any incident, build alarms that actually fire, query logs to find root causes, walk the network path to isolate faults, apply least-privilege IAM fixes, prove backups work by restoring them, and handle a live SEV-1 with chained faults.
By the end: freshers understand what day one feels like. Veterans get the operating model written down to train their teams.
