Motor structure and Motor maintenance
What you'll learn
Requirements
Description
Induction motors run pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, and machines in almost every factory and building. But if you have ever opened one up and wondered what each part does, or why it matters, this course is for you.
This course is built around the motor itself. Instead of heavy equations, we take the motor apart piece by piece and explain what each component is, what it is made of, and what job it does. By the end, you will be able to look at any induction motor and know what you are seeing.
What the course covers
1. Motor components (the main focus)
We go through the stator, rotor, frame, end shields, bearings, cooling fan, shaft, windings, terminal box, and more. For each part, you learn its purpose and how it fits with the rest of the motor. We also compare squirrel-cage and wound-rotor construction.
2. How the motor works
A short, simple theory section explains the rotating magnetic field and why the rotor turns, with no complicated math.
3. Motor maintenance
You learn practical, routine maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, checking bearings and cooling, and spotting early warning signs like noise, vibration, and overheating.
What this course does not cover
Motor performance including voltage ,current , torque , load , speed and speed control
