The leg across is a control established from a loose leg entanglement, particularly by those familiar with the berimbolo and leg lock systems. Leg across involves passing the leg across your body to control the ankle, preventing a complete disengagement from the entanglement. Stability gained from this position allows you to re-enter the entanglement on your terms. This position can be used for attacking the leg drag, berimbolo game, or the inside heel hook.
